About UsYour Friendly Fashion Destination

We are Scout & Molly’s Ballston. We truly believe that no one style fits all and that we have to have choices for our customers so that she can find something that makes her feel beautiful and comfortable. Our stylists can help our clients step outside their comfort zone, find new trends and approaches to their style in a comfortable environment.

Our team believes that we should always treat each person that walks through our doors like we want to be treated and we strive to do that each and every day. We take our clients seriously. They become like family, stopping to see what’s new and to catch up with their favorite stylist. We hope that our clients feel like they are shopping in their best friends closet.

— Jane and Betsy Abraham

  • Tell us about yourself and how you got started with Scout & Molly’s?

Jane and Betsy Abraham are a mother-daughter team who are enjoying their first business venture together. Betsy graduated from Georgetown University in 2015 with a degree in government and sociology. Jane has enjoyed a successful career in the private sector, the nonprofit sector and the political arena. Most recently, she served as Chairman of the Congressional Commission to Study the Potential for a National Women’s History Museum. She has a wide range of experience serving on educational, cultural and social service boards.

Betsy and her twin sister, Julie, had just finished college and Jane was looking for a way to slow down. A family member threw out the idea of starting a business together. We laughed. The more we thought about it, the more the idea appealed to us. We decided to explore franchise options. There were a multitude of choices: service companies, children’s programs, fitness programs and countless retail companies. None of them seemed right until we came across Scout & Molly’s Boutique and it’s founder, Lisa Kornstein Kaufman. We knew right away that we’d found THE ONE.

We loved Lisa’s concept of a boutique that offered unmatched service in a cozy and comfortable setting. Giving off the vibe of shopping in your best friend’s closet. Her vision is what impressed and continues to inspire us.

So, the three if us became co-owners of Scout & Molly’s Boutique of Reston and we are excited to have Scout & Molly’s Ballston Quarter open November 15, 2018.
Betsy and Jane oversee the daily operations.
