Women’s Fashion Boutique Scout & Molly’s Hosts Ribbon Cutting June 5,

Grand Opening Celebration June 8 at Arlington’s Ballston Quarter Shopping Center

Arlington, VA –Scout & Molly’s, a new women’s fashion boutique bringing a unique and personal shopping experience to Ballston Quarter Shopping Center, will host its official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, June 5 followed by its Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

Local owners and mother-daughter duo Jane and Betsy Abraham are thrilled to welcome Arlington-area shoppers to their beautiful new store for snacks and sips, special giveaways, and of course spring fashion selections that they have personally curated. The boutique offers the latest summer trends, from animal and floral prints to fun dresses for any occasion, from brands including Spiritual Gangster, BlackTape, Dex, French Connection, Sanctuary, and Spanx.

On Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm, guests can enter for a chance to win a raffle prize and enjoy a free gift with purchase. The Arlington Chamber of Commerce will join Jane and Betsy at 5:45 pm for a ribbon-cutting to formally welcome Scout & Molly’s to the area. During Saturday’s Grand Opening Celebration from noon – 6 pm, everyone will have the chance to select a surprise egg, with a discount or special gift waiting inside. The first 50 guests will receive a $15 gift card.

Jane (of McLean, VA) and Betsy (of McLean, VA) Abraham are having fun during their first business venture together. Jane has enjoyed a successful career in the private sector, the nonprofit sector and the political arena. Most recently, she served as Chairman of the Congressional Commission to Study the Potential for an American Women’s History Museum. She has a wide range of experience serving on educational, cultural and social service boards. Betsy graduated from Georgetown University in 2015 with a degree in government and sociology.

The two decided they wanted to open a business together and instantly fell in love with the concept of Scout & Molly’s and the mission of its founder, Lisa Kornstein Kaufman. They opened their first store in Reston just over two years ago and decided the Arlington area would also be a perfect fit.

“We believe that when a woman enters a boutique, she should feel comfortable and special, in a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere with approachable stylists offering honest personal service,” said Jane Abraham. “Scout & Molly’s achieves that experience perfectly.”

“Women of all ages and styles will feel like they’re browsing in their best friend’s closet, with a wide array of options for unique gifts, an outfit for a special occasion, or just seasonal fashion inspiration,” added Betsy Abraham.
