Believe it or not, you don’t have to succumb to the pressure to travel this Spring Break. Even as many folks are still itching to travel, following the pandemic lockdowns a few years ago, this may not be a top priority for everyone. It’s perfectly fine to indulge in the calm of a nice “stay-cation.”
If so, check out these few suggestions for things to do instead of traveling.
Create a Magnificent Spring or Easter Feast – Chances are you still have plenty of other family or friends who also don’t wish to leave town. Why not prepare a fantastic meal with everyone? Best of all, it’s warmer outside, so this can be an outdoor picnic, backyard cookout, or an array of other amusing activities. We’re big fans of mixing stylish spring dresses with outdoor spring fun, and this is the season for both.
Visit a Nearby Spa or Salon – What woman doesn’t enjoy this luxury every so often? This is where you can update your hair, eyebrows, lashes, nails, and anything else, while taking time for a soothing massage, foot soak, jacuzzi, manicure, or pedicure. If you know what you’re doing, you can even procure some of this stuff right in your own home (and save a lot of money).
Go Clothes Shopping! – You knew we had to sneak this in there, and why not? While you’re taking a much-needed break from school, work, or teaching, you can also strategize over your summer wardrobe. If you’re fresh out of ideas, be sure to review our previous article, where we went over all the ways to embrace warmer weather this season. This includes switching to breezier blouses, putting away the sweaters, and boldly exploring novel designs and textures. Then again, you’re also welcome to shop with us to bolster next winter’s wardrobe if you want to get ahead of the game early.
