My Top 5 Couples Halloween Costume Ideas

October 25, 2018

You don’t have to be an expert seamstress or tailor to create a killer Halloween costume. Here are five couples costume ideas my team can help you pull together with pieces from Scout & Molly’s Boulder:

Chip and Joanna Gaines

Classic and comfortable, Chip and Joanna Gaines on Fixer Upper are one couple I love Fashioning your own Halloween costume based on their personal style is pretty simple with everything from overalls to baseball caps in play.

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are an iconic dance couple that electrified the silver screen. Fred’s costume is a suit and tie, while Ginger’s is an elegant A-line dress. All you need to finish either costume is dancing shoes!

Johnny & Baby

I absolutely love the end of Dirty Dancing. Johnny and Baby’s final performance look is iconic and easy to replicate. Johnny’s look can be achieved with a black shirt and fitted black pants. Baby’s requires a very light pink dress.

Blair and Chuck

I really admire Chuck and Blair’s style on Gossip Girl. Blair’s look centers around ladylike pieces in classic shapes and patterns paired with red lipstick and some Old Hollywood hair. Chuck’s look can be accomplished with a patterned suit and a bow tie.

Nancy and Steve

To me, nothing says Halloween like Stranger Things! Nancy’s look can be achieved with a button-down shirt and a high-waisted skirt with white tights and flats. Steve’s ensemble is a striped long-sleeved polo tucked into belted khakis and some brown loafers.
