I worked in the human services field in several government and private sector agencies in the criminal justice sector for over 18 years. I transitioned into retail fashion more recently due to my love for fashion and serving people and I co-owned a franchise clothing boutique at one point. Now I’m happy to continue my journey as an entrepreneur with the experienced franchise team at Scout & Molly’s. They have provided me with tools, resources and expert support, showing me they are invested in my success.

My nearly two decades in Human Services, combined with my previous experience co-owning a small business retail franchise, have given me a deep understanding of community needs and customer service. As a lifelong Myrtle Beach resident, I’m deeply connected to the community, which I believe will be a strong asset in making my Scout & Molly’s venture a success.
I love working for myself and I love building a business that will enable me to contribute to my community in new ways. And, I am motivated to work harder when doing what I love!  

The franchise offers a well-tested model and strong support from the corporate team in operations, buying, and marketing. That roadmap plus a well-regarded brand are so important to being a successful franchise boutique owner. Plus, the professional guidance provided and the opportunity to select and offer fashionable clothing, including some unique designs and brands, was a major attraction for me.

I envision Scout & Molly’s Myrtle Beach standing out through both our exceptional service and the unique merchandise we offer. We carry several exciting lines and brands that aren’t available elsewhere in the area, giving boutique shoppers a fresh and distinctive option. I’m proud to bring something different to the Myrtle Beach retail scene. And, when I am not working, I love spending time with family, pets and friends. When not doing that, I can be found at the tennis courts or the beach.

The need for more boutiques in the Myrtle Beach area and the uniqueness of Scout and Molly’s from the existing boutiques. My go to fashion style is always classic and basic. Jeans in a variety of styles and colors are my favorite comfy clothes.

I’ll always want to represent some brands and designers that are not common in this community. Aso, offering selections for various age demographics is important to me. I also look forward to supporting some nonprofit organizations in our community, especially those that are directly related to helping our citizens. My fashion Icon would have to be Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Her sense of style was timeless.

My guilty pleasure is to Travel. 

I plan to join the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and actively support local causes. I’m passionate about helping disadvantaged youth, animal rescue, the homeless, and addressing food insecurity. My goal is to make a meaningful difference in our community. The 5 things I can’t live without: all of my family, my pets, my friends, nature and the outdoors, my church and my faith.

In my previous career I was a former Parole Officer and Alcohol and Drug Intervention Specialist. I love people and animals, especially dogs. I am a native to Myrtle Beach and have lived here my entire life. My dad and family’s company was instrumental in the growth and development of various projects along the Grand Strand. I have been married for 38 yrs and I have 3 grown children, 4 grandkids and 4 dogs. I love the ocean and shelling. Tennis is my favorite sport. I have played organized team tennis for over 30 years.

Along the Grand Strand, the one must see Myrtle Beach attraction is Brookgreen Gardens and of course all the beaches!
