Build Your Entire Wardrobe Around Neutrals This Fall
When you say the word neutral, people tend not to get excited. Many people think neutrals are kind of blah. However, one way to really get your wardrobe ready for all is by adding some neutrals that you can then add brights or patterns to. Here are some tips for adding neutrals to your fall fashion wardrobe.
How Can I Add Neutrals?
The trend for fall is to add some monochromatic neutrals, such as black, cream, navy or gray, and blend in some pops of color or pattern here or there. You may want to pair a heather gray skirt and jacket, then pop some color in a fabulous orange purse or pumps. You can also opt for a black pant and blazer set, with a pop of fall florals to add just the right feminine touch.
If you are going to do a monochromatic look for fall, make sure your monochromatic pieces are in a similar color and texture. Mixing two different textures into a monochromatic look just doesn’t work. You want a clean, fresh look for your monochromatic outfits.
Also, spending wisely on classic monochromatic pieces will make your wardrobe go farther. If you pair a beautiful navy tailored blazer and pants that are made well, and fit you perfectly, they will never go out of style. A small investment now means that you can continue to wear those pieces year after year. It also means that you can splurge on that beautiful little pop of color at the neckline this year, and get something else that is in style for the next fall season.
