When my husband and I first moved to Deerfield with our young children, we used to walk through the Square past a vacant storefront that I always thought would be perfect for a pretty women’s clothing boutique. Eventually I thought, why not me? I wanted to fill that space with something that the community where I was raising my family would be proud to have. The rest, as they say, is history.

I’m a full-time real estate agent and have an MBA in marketing, so I have a strong business background. More importantly, I have an entrepreneurial spirit and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

I visited the original location in Charlotte, NC, while doing my due diligence. The store felt welcoming, curated, and approachable. The personal touch is missing from department stores and online shopping, and this was refreshing.

Their assistance has reinforced my confidence in this decision and my excitement for what’s to come.

Our lifestyles have evolved into a more elevated-casual approach to fashion. Women want to look great, but they want to be comfortable, too. I’m constantly looking for styles that fit that aesthetic.

Any cause that is near and dear to my customers is a cause I’m excited to support. Personally, I love any cause having to do with children or animals.

I’ve lived here since 2020 when my twins were 18 months-old. Since then, I’ve had a third child, and the people I’ve met over the years through my involvement in my children’s lives and in the community have become like family to me. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and my family as been so fortunate to find our village. I’m proud to call Deerfield home.

It’s wild to look back on the early days when the store first opened and see how far we’ve come since then. We have the kindest, most loyal customers, and the store has evolved into exactly the friendly and community-centered place I envisioned. Women stop by just to say hello! My goal is continue nurturing that friendly vibe, leaning into the challenges as they come, and striving to be the #1 Scout & Molly’s in the country.

It’s the helping part that drives me the most. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and we all deserve to look and feel our best.

I’m usually dressed in head to toe Scout & Molly’s wherever I go. Frankly, I’m not much of a shopper, and owning a store makes it easy for me to maintain a decent wardrobe.
